Here's a list of terms you need to know to get started in the world of blockchain - crypto, NFTs, etc.

Note that this is not organized alphabetically, but in terms of what you need to understand to get started owning crypto and selling NFTs.

Exchange: This is a place where you can buy and hold crypto currencies like Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) - note that ETH is the standard currency for NFT transactions. Coinbase is probably the best place to start if you are in the US. Joining with this link will get you $10 in BTC.

Wallet: This is a place to store the crypto currency (normally ETH) that you will use to buy NFTs - it's also where any NFTs you purchase will be stored, and where the money that you make selling NFTs will be deposited. Finally, it's used to verify a multitude of transactions, like swapping one sort of coin for another. Metamask is the recommended wallet.

Discord: If you're a gamer, you might be familiar with Discord; otherwise, its a messaging site/app that allows groups to collaborate online. If you're joining a DAO, they will almost always have a Discord server - a link to receive an invite is normally found on their Twitter bio or website.

DAO: Distributed Autonomous Organization. Think of these as networked organizations collectively owned by their members and lacking any central authority. They have treasuries consisting of crypto tokens, and are usually organized on a Discord server. PageDAO is an example of a DAO in the publishing space.
